Holiday Luncheon and Installation of Officers

Combining a holiday celebration and an optional gift exchange, this luncheon concludes the year for Globe Guilders on a festive note.

Spring Membership Luncheon  Honoring Master of Fine Arts Students

Usually held in February, this event celebrates the accomplishments of the Master of Fine Arts students of the Globe MFA Program, an Old Globe/University of San Diego joint venture.  The seven honored students are recruited around the U. S. each year to participate in an intensive two-year graduate study in classical theatre. For more information, please visit the program’s web site at www.globemfa.org.

One of the ways the Globe Guilders support the MFA  program  is by “adopting” each student for the two years they will live in San Diego.  Becoming “Guilder Moms”, our volunteers provide encouragement and friendly support to MFA students during their time away from their own homes.  Additionally, Guilders award a check at this event to supplement the funding of the MFA program.  All Globe Guilders and their friends are invited to this event.
