This event celebrates the accomplishments of the Master of Fine Arts students The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program. The seven honored students are recruited from around the world each year to participate in an intensive two-year graduate study in classical theatre. One of the ways the Globe Guilders support the MFA program is by “adopting” each student for the two years they will live in San Diego. Becoming “Guilder Moms/Dads”, our volunteers provide encouragement and friendly support to MFA students during their time away from their own homes. Additionally, Guilders award a check at this event to supplement the funding of the MFA program. All Globe Guilders and their friends are invited to this event.
