In 1955, Globe Theatre founder Craig Noel asked his dear friend, Irma Macpherson, to form a group to support The Old Globe in any way needed. The Globe Guilders auxiliary was born.
Since that time, the Globe Guilders have been an integral part of the Globe family. As tireless fund raisers for over two decades, the Guilders have provided financial support through the very successful annual Fashion Show, Celebrating Couture. Additionally, Guilders’ behind-the-scenes efforts include: hosting Company Call and Production Kick-off events where the cast, stage and production staff enjoy snacks and beverages provided and served by the Guilders; working to fill seats with group events; volunteering in the costume shop, education department and special theatre events.
Globe Guilders’ focus is to benefit and support this award-winning San Diego Institution. Please join us as we continue this very gratifying work.
